18th International Conference on Mechatronic Systems and Materials is an integral part of the series of conferences on Mechatronic Systems and Materials (MSM). This conference will be held in Vilnius, Lithuania.
Conference on Mechatronic Systems and Materials (MSM) has a rich history of facilitating collaboration among researchers, practitioners, and academics in the fields of mechatronics and materials engineering. Since its inception in 1995, MSM is serving as a multidisciplinary forum for the dissemination of current research findings, technological advancements, and educational innovations.
The inaugural MSM conference in 1995 was organized by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Bialystok University of Technology in Poland. The primary aim was to create a platform for scientists and engineers to share information, foster cooperation in mechatronics and new materials, and disseminate research results in this multidisciplinary field. The conference seeks to address the growing need for integrated approaches combining mechanical engineering, electronics, computer science, and materials science to develop advanced systems and technologies.
The primary objective of MSM is to provide a platform for sharing information and facilitating cooperation in mechatronics and new materials. The conference encompasses a broad spectrum of topics, including but not limited to:
- Mechatronic Systems: Exploration of robotics (industrial, mobile, and micro-robots), unmanned aerial vehicles, sensors, actuators, control systems, vibration analysis, optimization, integrated diagnostics, failure analysis, tribology, signal analysis, measurement techniques, and piezoelectric applications.
- Mechatronics in Industrial Engineering: Investigation of the integration of mechatronic principles in industrial machinery and equipment.
- Smart Materials and Applications: Study of properties, modeling, manufacturing, and processing of smart materials, biomaterials, functional composites, piezoelectric materials, and nanomaterials.
- Machine Vision in Industrial Applications: Focus on machine vision systems, reverse engineering, and applications incorporating artificial intelligence.
- Education in the Field of Mechatronics: Discussion on emerging trends in mechatronics and materials science education, including innovative teaching methodologies and laboratory facilities.
- Young Researchers Forum: A dedicated segment encouraging PhD students and early-career researchers to present their projects, particularly those utilizing platforms like Arduino in mechatronic applications.
English will be the official language of the conference

Sponsors and Partners
Conference in Vilnius, Lithuania is organized by Extrica with the partnership of Bialystok University of Technology, Vilnius Gediminas Technical University, Kaunas University of Technology, and Opole University of Technology.

Bialystok University of Technology, established in 1949, is the largest technical university in north-eastern Poland. It offers a wide range of bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs, with a strong emphasis on research and innovation. The university collaborates with numerous international institutions and has implemented over 130 projects worth more than PLN 493 million. With six faculties and almost 7,000 students, it is a regional leader in education and research.

Vilnius Gediminas technical university (VILNIUS TECH) is an innovative Lithuanian university that prepares creative and highly qualified specialists. The university is a leader in the field of technological sciences with modern and labour market-oriented approach to studies. Scientific research and experimental development projects are carried out in 13 institutes, 3 scientific centers. 22 research laboratories.
Kaunas University of Technology had its beginning on 16 February 1922, when the University of Lithuania and its technical faculties were established. The development of Lithuanian scientific ideas continued in the first Lithuanian independent technical school of higher education (in 1950–1990 titled Kaunas Polytechnic Institute (KPI)). It was famous for the ultrasound and vibrotechnics laboratories, and scientific research of textiles. In 1990 KTU regained its status of the university and took a path of rapid reforms of studies and research. The University continues to pursue sustainable partnership of science, business and industry, develops and implements new ideas, innovations and inventions.

The Opole University of Technology (OUTech) is an internationally oriented high-tech university located in Opole, Poland. It offers education primarily in technical sciences, as well as logistics, economics, management, tourism, sport, and physiotherapy. The university serves around 5000 students from 23 nationalities and boasts a high-class international academic and research staff. OUTech has six faculties and offers degree programs in English, ensuring a stimulating international environment for its students.
