Baltic Carbon Forum 2022 in Kaunas, Lithuania, October 13-14, 2022

I would like to express my special thanks and gratitude to the Nordic Council of Ministers supporting the BCF through its institution Nordic Energy Research, BASSRECCS and Kaunas University of Technology (KTU) for supporting the conference. BASRECCS is the network of Carbon Capture and Storage that supports an active communication in exchange of CCS competence development and continues to pursue sustainable partnership of science, business, and industry, develops, and implements new ideas, innovations, and inventions. I am thankful to conference organizing committee (Bruno Gerrits, Viltė Karaliūtė, Peter Molander, Alla Shogenova, Sveinung Hagen, Todd Flach, Monika Konieczyńska, Sarah Eileen Gasda and Auli Niemi) who have volunteered to give a helping hand during the conference organization. Finally, I would like to acknowledge with gratitude, our conference partners, invited delegate speakers and colleagues who have accepted our invitation to speak and participate at the conference.

The Baltic Carbon Forum 2022 proceedings is a collection of abstracts presented at the BCF 2022 conference from the invited experts from the Baltic Sea Region (BSR) Countries, including policymakers, financial institutes, industry representatives and academics. Proceeding provides an overview of the topics ranging from experience sharing, discussion, and brainstorming to identify gaps for expediting the deployment of a large-scale CC(U)S project in the Baltic Sea Region.
